Question – What is Cellular Respiration ?
Answer – Cellular respiration is a fundamental biological process that occurs within the cells of living organisms, and it is essential for their survival. In cellular respiration, energy is released from the food consumed by the organism. - Involvement of Oxygen- Cellular respiration can be either Aerobic or Anaerobic. In aerobic respiration, oxygen is actively involved in the breakdown of glucose, while in anaerobic respiration, glucose breakdown happens without the use of oxygen.
- Location of Occurrence- Cellular respiration happens within the cells of an organism where the breakdown of glucose takes place. This process is universal among living organisms, including animals and plants, signifying its centrality in life processes.
