Definition

Lymph is a colourless fluid that circulates throughout the lymphatic system and acts as a filter against microbes, organic wastes, toxins and other debris.

• Lymph Corpuscles 
• Lymphoid Organs. 

Function of Lymph

1. Lymph keeps the body cells moist.
2. Lymph also helps to transports oxygen, hormones and nutrients to different parts of the body.
3. Lymph also helps to removes metabolic waste from the cells.
4. Lymph plays an important role in transporting antibodies and lymphocytes to the blood.
5. Lymph prevents invasion of microbes and foreign substances inside the lymph nodes.
