Regeneration Class 10

Define Regeneration

Regeneration is a type of asexual reproduction in which the development of a new organism occurs from just a broken or cut part of parent organism.

Some organisms have an ability to give rise to new organisms from their broken or cutted body parts.

These specialized cells are capable of redividing into a mass of cells from which they can differentiate into different types of cells and  tissues .

From this mass of cells, different cells now undergo changes to become various cell types and tissues to make a full organism.

Regeneration Examples : Planaria, Hydra , starfish
